This paper examines the transformative role of video analytics in modern basketball through a comprehensive qualitative analysis of two leading software solutions Synergy Sports and Hudl. Employing a qualitative-descriptive methodology, the study evaluates both technical and methodological dimensions, including interface design and user experience, availability and customer support, as well as training and competitive applicability. Particular emphasis is placed on the pedagogical and tactical implications, exploring the extent to which such tools redefine preparation, decision-making, and performance evaluation in sports. The analysis reveals that Synergy Sports offers highly sophisticated functionalities tailored for professional leagues and elite competition, whereas Hudl, due to its flexibility and accessibility, occupies a central role in educational and amateur contexts. A SWOT analysis further highlights their strengths and weaknesses, pointing to distinct strategic niches where each system achieves maximum impact. The conclusions suggest that video analytics, while technologically mediated, does not substitute coaching intuition; rather, it expands the boundaries of tactical reasoning and introduces a new epistemology of sporting knowledge.
