Abstract
The major factors for practical realization of health education are family and school. Their activities include purposeful and persistent influence aimed at children’s obtaining knowledge, forming attitudes and practical skills for their health prevention. One of the most important problems of the modern health education is related to maintaining children’s healthy weight. The aim of the present study is to establish whether there are differences between the education influence of the families with children suffering from overweight and obesity and of the families with children with normal weight. The results show significant differences connected with nutrition and motor activity of the children.
